The establishment of a protective zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant will provide for the principle that ZNPP it will not be possible to fire, and whoever decides to do so will know exactly what he is doing, said the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi. This is reported by the Al Jazeera channel.

He spoke as follows: “Let me explain in simple terms: do not shoot at the station or from the territory of the station. <...> Do not shoot from above, or from below, or from under the ground. The people who do it know exactly what they’re doing.”

Grossi stressed that a solution could be reached with the help of the IAEA as a technical body.

As the Public News Service reported earlier, the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine again staged shelling Energodar from the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This was stated by war correspondent Olga Kurlaeva.

According to her, on December 10, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again opened fire on the territory of Energodar in the Zaporozhye region. At least ten strikes were made on residential areas of the city and the territory of the nuclear power plant.
