Ambassador Candidate USA in Russia Lynn Tracy should first think about her anti-Russian statements, says Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova. The Russian diplomat sharply rebuked the American woman and recalled that she “willingly accepted the tone of the Senate hearings, far from the diplomatic protocol.”
“It would not be superfluous to think about how appropriate such assessments of the country where she will work now are,” TASS quotes Zakharova as saying.
In early December, Lynn Tracy argued that the Russian Federation should be given access to the inspections. This supposedly will help the United States to start a dialogue on this topic.
Back in November, Russia’s ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, said the Kremlin hoped for a speedy appointment new American ambassador. According to the diplomat, Russia proceeds from the fact that there is no need to interrupt contacts and break off diplomatic relations between the parties.
