Zakharova advised the foreign journalist to “enjoy Lavrov’s answers”

Official representative Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at a press conference by the head of the department Sergei Lavrov after the meeting UN Security Council intervened in the dialogue between him and a BBC journalist, who behaved rudely and tried to impose her point of view on the diplomat. This is reported by “Channel Five”.

During the event Lavrov spoke out about the West’s mistrust regarding the crash of the Il-76 plane in Belgorod region. According to him, “the international community, represented by Western representatives and the media, has already proven its discredited position.” He also noted that Kyiv it was known who was on board the Il-76, but the Armed Forces Ukraine (APU) nevertheless decided to shoot down the plane.

At the same time, the foreign journalist interrupted Lavrov and tried to impose her point of view on him. The minister even had to besiege the press representative. At the end of his answer, the BBC journalist again tried to continue the dialogue. Then Zakharova advised the publication’s representatives to “stay calm and enjoy the answers.”

The plane crash became known on January 24. Incident confirmed Russian Ministry of Defense. As the department indicated, on board the aircraft there were six crew members, 65 captured soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as three accompanying persons. They were transported for exchange.
