On Monday, November 13 of this year, at a meeting between South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin in Seoul, a new strategy for containing the DPRK was adopted, Yonhap news agency reported.
According to the agency, the new strategy includes measures in case North Korea uses nuclear weapons. The document is flexible and has become more advanced, representatives of the two countries believe.
“The ministers noted that the changes have made TDS 2023 a powerful and flexible document that sets a strategic framework for effectively deterring and countering nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, as well as North Korea’s strategically influential non-nuclear capabilities,” the publication quotes a report on the results of the meeting.
It was previously reported that about 50% of US citizens consider the policies of the country’s President Joe Biden to be harmful to the country’s economy. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
