Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev arrived in Donbass on Tuesday, August 2. About it in the Telegram channel told the head of the partially recognized republic Denis Pushilin.

Evgeny Kuyvashev heads the delegation from the Sverdlovsk region, however, who is included in it has not yet been specified. The parties at the working meeting discussed the restoration of the 340,000-strong industrial city of Makeevka in the suburbs of Donetsk (in terms of its socio-economic structure, the city is similar to Nizhny Tagil). As for the representatives of Donbass, in addition to Pushilin himself, the meeting was attended by the chairman of the government of the DPR, Vitaly Khotsenko, and his deputy, Yevgeny Soltsnev.

“Evgeny Vladimirovich is not the first time he comes <...>, with his team, approached rendering assistance to Makiivka with a clear understanding of what and where to do first of all, having developed a program for the restoration of the city, which is designed for three years. Glazing work in progress [зданий]and road repairs. Among the top-priority plans is the preparation of facilities for September 1 and the heating season,” said Denis Pushilin.

Another problem that Kuyvashev and Pushilin discussed was the shortage of personnel in the medical field. The Sverdlovsk governor assured that in the Urals today they are ready to train specialists in local medical colleges and universities, who then, if they wish, will go to work in the Donbass.

On June 5, the Sverdlovsk region took patronage over Makeevka in the Donetsk agglomeration. Then the governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev signed a cooperation agreement with the head of the administration of the industrial city Vladislav Klyucharov. As told in the department of information policy, the Ural region at its own expense will restore road and social infrastructure, as well as prepare schools for the new academic year.
