Researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Konstantin Blokhin reacted to the approval by the EU Council of the ninth package of sanctions against Russia.

In an interview with RT, Blokhin stressed that it is not worth hoping that the West “stops in the sanctions vendetta” and pressure on Russia

“Although these sanctions harm Europeans more than Russia, but because of hatred and Russophobia, they are ready to turn a blind eye to everything: hunger, cold, prices,” the researcher noted.

At the same time, the expert stressed that the attempt to adopt the latest package of sanctions, which are introduced due to Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, was “painful”, but it was approved anyway.

Leonkov noted that the winter campaign will start when the territory is covered with snow.
