Moscow has prepared a rich program in honor of Mother’s Day, which this year is celebrated on November 26, said the deputy mayor of the capital for social development Anastasia Rakova. The corresponding press release was received by the editors of Lenta.ru.

“Motherhood is a great happiness, but in everyday life it requires a lot of emotional and physical work. Understanding this, Moscow comprehensively supports women with children at all stages,” Rakova said.

She clarified that capital authorities provide women with children with material, legal and psychological assistance, help in professional self-realization, launch new electronic services and develop infrastructure in the field of motherhood and childhood.

A large festive program has been prepared for Mother’s Day in Moscow. The key event will be the “Moscow Mother’s Lecture”. On Sunday, November 26, 12 free open lectures on health, style and beauty, personal space and career, the joys and difficulties of motherhood and parenting will be held at four popular venues in the capital. During the pre-holiday week, a “mom’s post” will operate in the city, with the help of which anyone can congratulate their mother. In Moscow schools and colleges, volunteers from the First Movement will distribute to children a million “mummy cards” – small greeting cards for their mothers. And all visitors to the My Documents offices from November 24 to 26 will be able to sign and send a uniquely designed postcard to their mothers thanks to a joint project of public service centers and “Russian Post”.

Young residents of the capital will present gifts for mothers and grandmothers at Moscow longevity centers. In addition to concert programs for children, culinary master classes and literary meetings are also planned. Also from November 26 to December 10 on VDNH There will be a photo exhibition with photographs of Moscow mothers of the 20th century from the funds of the Moscow Main Archive.

On November 28, the specialized employment center “My Career” will host the “Mom Can” festival, where Muscovites will meet the capital’s largest employers, get acquainted with current professions and learn how to choose images for work and everyday life.
