Scientific Director of the Hydrometeorological Center Russia Roman Vilfand stated that snowdrifts in Moscow can reach record heights. About this RIA Novosti.
According to him, the snowdrifts will grow by more than 10 cm at a height of 22 cm now.
“We should expect snowfall in the coming hours, this snowfall will continue tomorrow,” he said.
“These two days can cause snow growth of more than 10 cm. Now the snow is 22 cm, and on December 19, 1941, the snow height was 34 cm. The probability of an event breaking the record is not small.”
As the Public News Service previously reported, Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic said on national television that due to the Ukrainian conflict, next winter could be the most difficult in history.
The politician spoke as follows: “Everything is complicated. Both one and the other lack ammunition and people. Both one and the other lost the best people. We expect that the next (2023-2024) winter will be the most difficult in the history of the world.”
