frosts in Russian capital and the regions will become weaker by January 11, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, assured. TASS writes about it.
The specialist noted that on January 10, the air will warm up to minus 10-15 degrees, and on the 11th – already up to minus 7-12.
He stressed: “This is already a clear increase in temperature and weakening of frost.”
Earlier it became known that warming is expected in Moscow next week. This was announced by the leading specialist of the weather center “Phobos” Mikhail Leus.
Leus said that the anticyclone, which is filled with abnormally cold Arctic masses, will now gradually move south of Moscow. Undoubtedly, the upcoming night will still be frosty, but very soon there will be a slight warming.
In addition, the specialist added that the temperature will rise gradually, by next week, namely by Wednesday, a warm atmospheric front will increase the temperature to -7 – -12, and by the end of the week the air temperature will be from -2 to -7 degrees.
