American The Orion spacecraft splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California after completing its first unmanned flight to orbit the Moon. Broadcast hosted by NASA.

At 20:40 Moscow time (12:40 US East Coast time), 480 km from San Diego, the capsule of the Orion spacecraft touched the surface of the ocean.

The host of the NASA broadcast said that the return of the spacecraft was perfect. In the near future, specialists will lift the capsule and deliver it to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

At the end of the mission, NASA will analyze the data obtained during the test to allow the spacecraft to be manned.
