United States of America are no longer able to spend a huge amount of resources on Eastern Europe, in connection with which they need to enter into a negotiation process with Russian Federation to end the armed conflict. This statement was made by former State Department adviser Christian Wheaton.
“To end the conflict in Ukraine in the near future, Washington will have to negotiate directly with Moscow. The sooner he does this, the better, ”The National Interest magazine quotes the text of his statement.
From his point of view, it follows that acting in the interests of Kyiv seriously protected President Joseph Biden from the reputational blow that was received in Afghanistan. Despite this fact, the Ukrainian crisis is “in the wrong place at the wrong time” – the state should switch to other territories.
At the moment, the US should build its interaction with the Kyiv regime in the same way as it was done in the case of Vietnam. Such “it was unpleasant”, but the end of conflicts does not always bring warm emotions.
The specialist noted that the population and authorities will no longer be able to cope with the provision of money and weapons to Kyiv.
Recall that the position against the United States regarding the confrontation unfolding in Ukraine, expressed by foreign policy experts Ulrik Gero and Hauke Ritz, led to a heated discussion in German society. This is reported by the newspaper Junge Freiheit. More about it read in material Public News Service.
