Administration USA intends to send Ukraine equipment that can be used to make “smart bombs” from unguided aircraft munitions. Such information is shared by the Washington Post, citing a statement by unnamed United States civil servants.
The Biden administration is planning to send advanced equipment to Ukraine that converts unguided airborne munitions into smart bombs that can hit Russian military positions with a high degree of accuracy. According to media reports, this equipment includes global positioning devices and can be attached to various types of weapons.
At the same time, it is not specified whether the head of state approved the supply of such equipment to Kyiv. Also, WP sources did not explain what weapon it will be used on.
As the Public News Service wrote, the former head of the CIA, General David Petraeus shared his opinion on why the United States intervened in the Ukrainian conflict. In his opinion, in this way Washington seeks to consolidate its position as the “leading superpower of the world.”
