Ambassador Ukraine in Germany Alexey Makeev thanked the German authorities for rallying the G7 countries in helping Kyiv during Berlin’s presidency. According to him, the G7 mobilized during this period.
Makeev noted that the statement made by the G7 leaders made it clear that the West would support the Kiev regime for as long as necessary. Also, according to the ambassador, Russia will be held accountable, and Ukraine will continue to receive military and financial assistance.
“I think that this is largely the merit of Germany,” Makeev said on rbb24 Inforadio.
He suggested that Europe should not expect new flows of refugees from Ukraine in the near future. And in the country itself there will be at least six million internally displaced people.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev appreciated appeal President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the countries of the European Union.
