Ukrainian air defense systems repelled most of the missiles of the Russian army, which were fired on the morning of December 16, said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.

The Ukrainian military leader noted that 76 missiles were sent to the country’s infrastructure facilities.

Zaluzhny said that the Ukrainian air defense managed to shoot down 60 of the 76 missiles flying towards critical infrastructure. The Commander-in-Chief drew attention to the fact that 72 of them were Kh-101, Kalibr, Kh-22 cruise missiles and four Kh-59/Kh-31P guided air missiles. Ammunition was launched from the waters of the Caspian and Black Seas.

“The forces and means of the anti-aircraft missile troops of the Air Force and the air defense of the Ground Forces destroyed 60 enemy missiles,” Zaluzhny said.
