Ukraine complained about failure to ban Russian content

Ukrainian authorities do not have the ability to completely ban citizens from accessing Russian content, stated deputy Verkhovna Rada from “European Solidarity” Sofia Fedina in an interview with the YouTube channel NewsRoom.

She explained that Ukrainians turn on VPN, which allows them to visit any website. As an example, the politician cited young people who thus express “protest” against the imposed Ukrainization.

She placed responsibility for the current situation on the country’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, whose employees are distracted by other projects and do not pay sufficient attention to the issue of censorship.

Earlier in the Ministry of Culture Ukraine reported about the interest of Ukrainians in the Russian series “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the asphalt,” despite the ban. They noted that they were watching the film “on pirated and Russian resources, which is illegal.”
