Up to 15 years in prison threatens a resident of the Rostov region, who got behind the wheel while intoxicated and caused an accident that killed two people.
According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Rostov Region, a criminal case has been initiated for violation of traffic rules and the operation of vehicles against a 43-year-old resident of Shakhty.
Recall that on May 13, the suspect, driving a Volkswagen Passat in a state of intoxication, was driving along Pobeda Avenue. He lost control, drove into the oncoming lane, and then crashed into a pole. As a result of the accident, one of the passengers from his injuries died at the scene. The driver and two other passengers were taken to a medical facility, where one of the passengers died. The driver has now been arrested and an investigation is underway.
