Center Expert weather “Phobos” Yevgeny Tishkovets predicts a tropical downpour in Moscow on December 12. He stated this in his Telegram account.
“On Monday, December 12, a record tropical downpour is expected in the capital,” the forecaster wrote.
Tishkovets, in his video message, said that on Monday afternoon, at temperatures from 0C to +5C, “unprecedented daily precipitation” will fall on Moscow – 33 mm of intense heavy rain.
According to him, in December it is up to 60% of the monthly norm.
Tishkovets also noted that due to heavy rain, the snow cover will decrease by almost three times. According to forecasts, on December 12, the highest daily record of precipitation in the capital for the whole of December will be set.
Formerly Public News Service informed that the southern cyclone that came to Moscow and the Moscow region brought heavy snowfalls. At the reference weather station of the capital at VDNKh, 12 mm of precipitation fell per day.
