The president Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Wednesday signed decrees on personnel changes in several ministries and the government. This document was posted on the website of the head of state.
The head of state recommended appointing Koishybaev as Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of Staff of the Government of Kazakhstan. Prior to that, 54-year-old Koishybaev was the head of the prime minister’s office. Tokayev signed a decree on the transformation of the prime minister’s office into a government apparatus.
The President of Kazakhstan dismissed Serikkali Brekeshev from the post of Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources. Zulfiya Suleimenova was appointed to his place. In the past, she was Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic.
Kairbek Uskenbaev was dismissed from the post of Minister of Industry and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Instead, the position will be taken by Marat Karabaev. Previously, he was Deputy Minister.
The Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan was headed by Gani Beisembaev. He took over from his predecessor, Askhat Aimagambetov, who has headed the department since June 2022.
Askhat Oralov, who previously worked as the executive secretary of the Amanat (formerly Nur Otan) party, was appointed the new Minister of Culture and Sports. Oralov replaced Dauren Abaev, who headed the department since January 2022.
Azamat Yeskaraev, who previously worked as the head of the legal department of the Prime Minister’s Office, became the Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan. Minister of Justice Kanat Musin was dismissed from office on December 29, 2022. On the same day, Musin was appointed a member of the Constitutional Court of Kazakhstan.
Formerly Public News Service informed that the officer of the Federal Security Service (FSO) Mikhail Zhilin was deported from Kazakhstan, where he left Russia after the start of mobilization.
