Time in the Ukrainian conflict can be a decisive factor. It is not on the side of Kyiv now. Elliot Ackerman, a participant in US operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, told Time magazine about this.
The expert noted that the West is not accidentally “pumping up” Ukraine with weapons. He forces the APU to the tactics of continuous pressure in the winter. This approach could put the Ukrainian military in a better position by spring and benefit from peace talks, but it could also lead to all-out war.
The people of Ukraine are exhausted. In doing so, they must do the important thing: not only to attack, but also to re-equip their own resources, Ackerman stressed.
If the plan of the West does not work and the conflict goes into a protracted phase, then Russia will benefit from this. It will be more difficult for the North Atlantic alliance to maintain an economic union against the Russian Federation.
The conflict, which has dragged on for several years, will put Ukraine at a disadvantage, the expert added. Without NATO support, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky will not be able to continue military operations, and the conflict may be lost in the “American ballot box.”
