kpop star, Jungkook, of bts, will perform at the opening ceremony of the FIFA Soccer World Cup in Qatar on Sunday 20 November in the evening hours, joining other world-class stars in delivering a message of inclusion and diversity.
South Korean artist and Qatari singer fahd kubais will interpret “Dreamers”, song which is part of the official soundtrack of the World Cup, during a 30-minute show, FIFA announced this Sunday.
The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5:40 p.m. Qatar time, as the stage is set for the opening match between the host Qatar Y Ecuador, which will start at 7 p.m. m Qatari time, in the stadium Al Khor located in Jor.
FIFA released a statement explaining what the ceremony was aimed at:
“The theme of the opening ceremony is the meeting of all humanity, bridging the divides through humanity, respect and inclusion”
“Football unites us as a tribe and the planet is the tent in which we all live.”
The event of jungkook it will be one of seven events that will honor the 32 participating countries, former World Cup hosts and some volunteers who are present.
They will also act FIFA World Cup Ambassador Ghanim Al Muftah and the Qatari singer Dana.
