We have wooden windows in the apartment, which, despite proper care, have reached the end of their service life after 35 years, do not seal, they do not close or open properly, and they also blow unpleasantly in the winter. The windows will need to be replaced as soon as possible. We are still members of the cooperative with several neighbors and we do not know if we have a legal right to new windows “free”. Or will the replacement of our windows be decided by the unit owners’ association (SVJ), which will not agree because the owners have exchanged the windows in their own ownership at their own expense?
Owners who have already replaced the windows may not want to support the replacement of the windows. In practice, we find that such owners are offered compensation at the meeting.
