The Olympiad of the CIS countries “Laboratory for training talents” has ended in the capital of Azerbaijan. Schoolchildren from Russia won an absolute victory in the team competition.

Press Service of the Ministry enlightenment The Russian Federation reported that in addition to the Russian team, teams from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Georgia took part in the competition. Within the framework of the Olympiad, the participants demonstrated the level of their competencies in three disciplines: mathematics, chemistry and physics.

Schoolchildren from Russia proved their superiority over their rivals both in team and individual tests. Pupils of St. Petersburg schools Robert Bitlev and Anastasia Plotnikova received gold medals. Moscow schoolboy Alexander Moklokov won silver. The leader of the children at the competition was Anna Korneva, teacher of the Department of General Physics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

Formerly online edition “Teacher’s newspaper” reported about the victories of Russian schoolchildren at international olympiads in 2022. They have earned 42 medals, of which 32 are gold and 11 are silver. Schoolchildren demonstrated their erudition in 8 general subjects: mathematics, physics, computer science, biology, chemistry, astronomy, geography and natural sciences for juniors.

The Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov noted that the results of the Olympiads depend not only on the children themselves, but also on teachers, parents and coaches. He stressed that the winners of international competitions are the pride of the country and its golden fund.
