Throughout the current year, Russians have regularly encountered manifestations of Russophobia in various areas. Such sentiments were most pronounced for students of foreign universities, who often turned out to be victims of prejudice. This article was published by Izvestia.
Discrimination towards Russians, which only intensified after the start of the special operation on the territory of Ukraine, persists up to the present time, the article says. Representatives of the Student Youth Foundation told reporters about the results of the Russians project they launched, the main goal of which was to help Russians who face discrimination in a foreign country.
It is specified that most often in the appeals, the Russians spoke about Russophobia in universities, as well as bullying in schools and kindergartens. There were also frequent layoffs and denials of employment or promotion based on the employee’s nationality or political beliefs. There were also problems with the provision of medical care.
The article also says that Russian tourists are denied service and accommodation in hotels for no reason.
Earlier, the Public News Service reported that, according to political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko, the United States needs Ukraine as an American or Polish protectorate with the preservation of an anti-Russian political elite. It is for this reason that the United States seeks to maintain a Russophobic mode in Ukraine.
