Russian schoolchildren won five gold and one silver medal at the 19th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO 2022) in Colombia. The Olympiad was held in full-time format. Our team was represented by six members.

The competition included test, theoretical and experimental rounds. Each of them offered tasks in three subjects: physics, chemistry and biology.

In total, according to the results of the Olympiad, 20 gold medals were awarded, Russian schoolchildren received a quarter of them. In addition, the Russians took second place in the team competition for solving an experimental problem.

The selection of team members and its training took place on the basis of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

In 2021, the International Junior Science Olympiad was held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) in a remote format. Schoolchildren from more than 70 countries of the world participated in it. The Russian team won six gold medals.
