In the Rostov region, the results of the regional competition “USE on issues of folk art and cultural heritage” became known. The final of the competition was held in early December at the Don State Public Library.
How informs The Ministry of General and Vocational Education of the Rostov Region, thanks to the thematic exam, schoolchildren get acquainted with the procedure for conducting the Unified State Exam, certification awakens the desire to study the cultural characteristics of their native land. This was stated by the Minister of General and Vocational Education of the Rostov Region Andrey Fateev. According to him, the region is rich in cultural traditions, and it is extremely important to preserve and popularize them.
The competition tasks consisted of two parts. The first contained questions requiring short answers. In the second, the contestants had to write a mini-essay on one of the proposed topics, based on their knowledge of folk art and culture.
Most of the correct answers were given to questions related to folk crafts. In particular, more than 98% of the children correctly correlated the name of the folk craft with the corresponding image. More than 80% correctly identified the song traditions of the Don Cossacks.
Checking the essays, the jury paid special attention to the compliance with the chosen topic, how deeply it is revealed, the value potential, and other criteria.
As a result, 4 participants became winners and prize-winners:
- 1st place was taken by Margarita Eliseeva (MBOU Egorlykskaya secondary school No. 7 named after O. Kazansky Egorlyksky district);
- 2nd place – Anna Vernigorova (MBOU Milyutinskaya secondary school of the Milyutinsky district); Victoria Reznikova (MBOU secondary school No. 24 of the city of Novoshakhtinsk);
- 3rd place – Sofia Gontar (MBOU secondary school No. 20, Novocherkassk).
The winners and runners-up will be awarded in January 2023. The winners of the competition with excellent grades for grades 10 and 11, as well as with high USE scores, will be able to count on being awarded the regional medal “For special success to a graduate of the Don”.
