As reported in Telegram channel The Government of Russia, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree according to which an additional 3.3 billion rubles will be sent to the regions to pay benefits for children from 3 to 7 years old to low-income families. It is specified that payments will be made in 2022.

According to Mikhail Mishustin, the Cabinet of Ministers pays special attention to families with low incomes. At the initiative of the head of state, monthly allowances are assigned for each child from 3 to 7 years old who are brought up in such families. An additional 3.3 billion rubles will be used to pay for these items of expenditure.

According to the prime minister, this is one of the measures to support needy families. He noted that the government is creating a coherent system of assistance throughout the country so that parents can take advantage of it.

Formerly online edition “Teacher’s newspaper” told that from January 1 next year a new measure of social support for families will come into effect – a single allowance for children and pregnant women.

This is a monthly payment to families with low incomes for women registered in early pregnancy and parents of children under 17 years of age. This payment is calculated for all children, regardless of the order of birth. Assistance is provided on the basis of a comprehensive means assessment.

The allowance will combine the allowance for pregnant women registered early, the monthly payment for the first child, the payment for the second child from maternity capital, the payment for the third or subsequent child, the allowance for children from 3 to 8 years old and the allowance for children from 8 to 17 years old.
