The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered a draft resolution proposing to recognize Russia as a “state sponsor of terrorism” and expel it from the United Nations.
The author of the legislative initiative is the Speaker of the Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk.
The explanatory note justifies the need to deprive Russia of the right of veto, exclude it from the UN Security Council and reform the organization.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia needs disqualify in the UN Security Council vote. The Ukrainian leader believes that such measures against the Russian Federation will allow “to restore justice within the UN structure.”
