Petersburg politician and former director of the human rights organization “Open Russia” Andrei Pivovarov, who was convicted in the case of an “undesirable organization”, was transferred from Krasnodar. About it reported associates of the politician in the telegram channel “Team Pivovarov”.

Pivovarov will spend New Year’s Eve on a train for prisoners. “A gift from the authorities for the holiday,” the politician’s associates write.

According to Team Pivovarov, the ex-head of Open Russia was transferred to Voronezh. However, the human rights project “OVD-Info” with reference to the words of the head of Pivovarov’s headquarters Tatyana Usmanova informedthat Pivovarov was sent to Volgograd.

Context. In July Leninsky Court in Krasnodar sentenced Andrei Pivovarov to 4 years in prison. He was found guilty of carrying out the activities of an undesirable organization (Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code) – Open Russia.

According to investigators, in August 2020, Pivovarov, being a member of such an organization, posted campaign materials in the public domain in support of it.

On December 22, it became known that Pivovarova transported from SIZO-1 in Krasnodar. He was taken to colony No. 2, where a lawyer was not allowed.
