The New York Times published information that Kyiv tried to kill the chief General Staff of the RF Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov, when he was in the NVO zone. In the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich confirms the information and gives details.
According to him, the attempt was made approximately in April or May 2022 in Izyum. The Armed Forces of Ukraine “covered the headquarters”, many guards and officers died, but Gerasimov left earlier, Arestovich reports.
