Almost everyone knows that you can’t eat at night. Moreover, it is tight. However, many people ignore this taboo and eat before bed. This is fraught with metabolic disorders, accumulation of excess weight and other “charms”.

But, before scolding such “opponents” of a healthy lifestyle, let’s figure out why this happens and how you can fix the situation. This is told by the endocrinologist, and part-time nutritionist and nutritionist Alexei Kalinchev.

unhealthy regimen

According to the expert, the mode of the day is to blame for late and plentiful dinners. If a person works or studies and spends most of the day away from home, he usually has breakfast at 7.00-8.00 and lunch somewhere between 13.00 and 15.00. The rest of the time he can drink tea or coffee, but he does not have full meals.

The working day ends most often at 18.00-19.00. Few people have a place of work or study located close to home, especially when it comes to a big city.

Often the journey takes from half an hour to two hours. That is, a person is at home no earlier than 20.00. By the time he sits down at the table, he will be closer to 21.00, or even later. Not everyone will go to dinner in a cafe – for many it is a little expensive, especially if you go there every day.

Hunger is not an aunt!

Recall that five or six hours have passed since lunch. H

the man, for sure, is very hungry and is unlikely to think about the need to limit himself in nutrition, especially if he is not a fragile young lady who is used to eating lettuce leaves.

Therefore, for dinner there can be meat, and meatballs, and pizza, and flour – everything that allows you to quickly get enough. And at 23.00 you already need to go to bed.

It is clear that this is terribly harmful to health. And you will fall asleep with difficulty, and extra pounds will be regularly deposited.

“Saving” lunch

Dr. Kalinchev suggests that as a “saving” measure that prevents evening overeating, introduce such a thing as an afternoon snack into the diet. If you remember, this is practiced in kindergartens and hospitals.

Usually, an afternoon snack happens at 16.00-17.00 and is a light snack, which completely allows you not to experience much hunger until dinner.

For an afternoon snack, according to the expert, they are perfect

  • dairy products,
  • buns,
  • sandwiches with various low-fat toppings and vegetables.

For some, a few cookies with juice or fruit will suffice. You can take food with you from home or buy groceries at the supermarket along the way. By the way, such food can also be taken “on the job” – for example, have a snack while sitting at your desk or computer.

If you eat once between lunch and dinner, then in the evening you will not feel the need for solid food or eat less at dinner. Which, of course, will positively affect the state of your body.
