Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Moscow warned of bad weather in the capital on Monday, January 2.

“According to weather forecasts, due to the passage of a cold atmospheric front from 00:00 to 15:00 on January 2, wind gusts of up to 16 m/s are expected in places in Moscow,” the emergency weather warning says.

It is specified that sleet and rain will pass in Moscow at night.

In this connection, guests and residents of the capital were urged to move along the sidewalks with extreme caution, and car owners to slow down.

Earlier, the leading specialist of the Phobos meteorological center, Evgeny Tishkovets, warned Muscovites about the record-breaking heat on January 1.
