The Ministry of Emergency Situations is preparing to evacuate the next group of Russians through the Rafah checkpoint

Advisor to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Daniil Martynov, made a statement that Russian rescuers have begun preparations for the evacuation of Russian citizens. Department employees will again head to the Rafah checkpoint located on the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. TASS writes with the relevant information, referring to his words spoken at the operational headquarters in Cairo.

Martynov clarified that members of the EMERCOM task force intend to go to the Rafah checkpoint in order to evacuate a group of Russians from the Gaza Strip, which numbers up to 90-100 people. Department employees will remain on site for as long as necessary to evacuate all citizens of the Russian Federation. He also noted that the rescue task force will announce the end of its work only after the last Russian citizen leaves the combat zone.

Martynov emphasized that rescuers are ready to evacuate everyone who wants to leave the enclave from the territory of the enclave within a few days. The department knows that there are about a thousand of them in total. At the same time, he noted that not everything depends only on the Russian side. This is explained by the fact that the checkpoint was repeatedly under fire.

Previously Public News Service reported, that Martynov said that all Russian citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip arrived at the ministry’s operational headquarters in Cairo safely. He added that the first group of people will head to the Russian capital on the morning of Monday, November 13.
