The mechanism for setting a self-ban on loans will be simplified for Russians

IN Russia returned to consideration of a bill that would simplify the mechanism for establishing a self-ban on loans. It is noted that they want to allow filing an application for refusal to receive loans not only on the State Services portal and in multifunctional centers (MFCs), but also directly through banks and microfinance organizations (MFOs), reports RBC.

Changes to the laws “On consumer credit” and “On credit histories” are planned to be introduced in January 2026. First Deputy Chairman of the Committee State Duma Konstantin Bakharev clarified that legislators are currently working on innovations, discussing a number of individual points.

Previously financier Andrey Ponomarev advised Russians will not refuse loans in 2024, despite high bank rates.
