According to Yonhap News Agency, the head of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok Yeol is considering the possibility of suspending the treaty to reduce tensions between South and Northern Korea, concluded on September 19, 2018 during a new provocation by Pyongyang.

The agency’s source shared the following information, “President Yoon Seok Yeol has instructed the National Security Bureau to consider suspending the 2018 military de-escalation agreement if the North again commits a provocation in our territory.”
