The Germans come to the Kaliningrad region for the winter because of the economic crisis in Germany. This was stated by the head of the region Anton Alikhanov.

According to him, residents of Germany attracted by the low cost of renting housing and housing and communal services in the Russian Federation. The governor said that he was very surprised when he learned that the Germans were choosing Kaliningrad as a place where they could wait out the difficult European winter.
“We had a conversation with a specific German. We ask what are you doing here, and he says – and we will spend the winter with you,” Alikhanov shared in an interview with RIA Novosti.
At the same time, he stressed that the arrival of German residents in Kaliningrad will allow Russian citizens involved in leasing real estate to increase their income.
Earlier, Washington Post journalists reported that the Germans were tired of Ukrainian refugees and the crisis, so they demand that the German leadership stop supporting the Kyiv regime.
