The Council of the European Union approved the ninth package of anti-Russian sanctions, according to which, complete bans will be introduced on operations with the All-Russian Regional Development Bank.
Moreover, the EU froze the assets of two more Russian banks and initiated the suspension of licenses for broadcasting in Europe of the TV channels Rossiya-1, Ren TV, Channel One, and NTV.
It is noteworthy that the suspension of licenses prohibits only broadcasting, therefore, media employees will be able to perform any activity other than this.
Also, the Deputy Head of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, said that the European Union included in the black list 168 Russian companies of the military-industrial complex, as well as mining and energy sectors.
In addition, it is specified that the ninth package of anti-Russian sanctions has already been agreed, however, has not yet been put into effect, this should happen after their publication in the Official Journal European Union.
As the Public News Service reported earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko indicated that new sanctions The EU against Russia undermines the own interests of the European countries.
