European Parliament (EP) published a map showing Crimea included in Russiadrew the attention of the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua and published a fragment of the map in its Telegram-channel.
When netizens noticed that the peninsula was marked as Russian territory, the publication was deleted, the publication says. Later, the European Parliament published an apology post.
“Thank you to everyone who pointed out the error in this morning’s infographic. We regret the oversight,” the statement said. The EP also promised to publish a corrected version of the map.
