Advice European Union on Friday, December 16, officially announced the approval of the ninth package sanctions in a relationship Russia. The corresponding statement was published on the website of the Council of the EU.

The document says that the package of new measures is aimed “to increase pressure on Russia and its government.”

Restrictions affect export restrictions. 168 Russian organizations fell under the sanctions, including those based in Crimea and Sevastopol. Restrictions also affect the banking sector, Russian media broadcasting, advisory services, energy and mining sectors.

In addition to the economic sanctions, the Council announced the inclusion of “a very significant number of additional individuals and entities” on the sanctions list.

Earlier, the Public News Service reported that the Deputy Head of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, announced the inclusion of the European Union in the black list 168 Russian companies of the military-industrial complex. The list also includes enterprises in the mining and energy sectors.
