If a person does not get enough sleep for a long time, the body gradually begins to lose the ability to resist diseases and infections, warned somnologist, candidate of medical sciences Mikhail Poluektov. Ways to get rid of lack of sleep revealed in a conversation with “Evening Moscow”.

To combat lack of sleep, Poluektov said, you need to train your body to fall asleep at the same time: for example, go to bed at nine in the evening and wake up at five or six in the morning. Also, he continued, relaxing procedures before bed will help: light massage, bath, aromatherapy, music, herbal tea.

The specialist continued, the environment in the bedroom also plays an important role: the room needs to be ventilated and the air conditioner adjusted to a temperature pleasant for sleeping. “Your bedroom should be equipped so that you do not feel any discomfort. So, turn off any light sources before resting: overhead lights, LED strips and table lamps,” he says. According to Poluektov, you need to turn off the TV, laptop, phone and other devices and gadgets before going to bed.
