Court of Appeal of Poltava region Ukraine refused the prosecutor’s office to choose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the mayor Poltava Alexandra Mamaia. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The source reports that a decision was made to transfer the case to the Oktyabrsky District Court of Poltava.

Earlier, the information that the mayor of Poltava Alexander Mamai was under suspicion in posting information about the location of the troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was confirmed Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), according to the source. To him threatened up to 12 years in prison.

After receiving information about the accusation, Mamai published an appeal to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskyin which he called the suspicion on the part of the SBU politically motivated.

Oleksandr Mamai also said that the head of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Anton Stoletny, is putting pressure on the court. In this regard, the mayor of Poltava appealed to the territorial branch of the State Bureau of Investigation with the accusation of the prosecutor of a criminal offense.
