IN Vyborg Security officers detained the head of the city’s internal affairs bodies (OVD) on suspicion of receiving bribes totaling eight million rubles. This was reported to Lenta.ru in Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia By St. Petersburg And Leningrad region.
A criminal case was opened against the chief police officer under Article 290 (“Taking a bribe”) of the Criminal Code RF. He will be charged soon. Searches are underway at his home and place of work.
According to investigators, from 2020 to 2022, the detainee provided patronage to “black lumberjacks.” For this he received a reward every month. The total amount of bribes received exceeded eight million rubles.
