The new city will appear in the Kherson region in the Genichesk district on the Arbat Spit. Information about this was announced by the acting governor of the region Vladimir Saldo.
The official noted that the new settlement on the arrow 113 kilometers long will be equipped with all the necessary infrastructure. The arrow itself is a spit eight kilometers wide: it separates the Sivash Bay from the Sea of \u200b\u200bAzov. In a straight line from Genichesk to Kherson is less than 200 kilometers.
“There are very good natural conditions, there are rail and road links. The place is very attractive, ”Saldo announced on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
The head of the region recalled that the order to build up the Arbat Spit was given by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Residential areas, schools, kindergartens, shops and other infrastructure will appear on the spit.
Earlier Volodymyr Saldo decided to ban the use of the Ukrainian hryvnia in the region from January 1, 2023. The balance added that everyone can apply to banks and exchange Ukrainian currency for Russian rubles.
