The Russian government has expanded the list of premiums that will not be subject to personal income tax (PIT). The document was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Teachers of musical educational institutions, art schools and choir schools will be exempted from paying personal income tax. Annually, 100 monetary rewards of 500 thousand rubles are provided for their bonuses. For teachers of music colleges and universities – 50 awards of one million rubles.

Also, additional taxes will not be levied on awards for outstanding achievements in the fields of science and technology, culture, literature, art, tourism and the media.
Prizes are awarded for high results of professional activity. They are evaluated by a special commission of the Ministry of Culture. Teachers with at least three years of experience can apply for awards.
