Taylor Swift’s 2023 MTV Video Music Award nominations

Taylor Swift is the top nominee for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, with a total of eight nominations. She is followed by SZA, with six nominations, and Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sam Smith, each with five nominations.

Swift is nominated for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects for her song “Anti-Hero.” She is also nominated for Artist of the Year and Best New Artist.

This is Swift’s most nominations for a single VMAs show. She previously had seven nominations in 2019.

The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on September 12 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The show will be hosted by Doja Cat.

Swift is no stranger to the VMAs. She has won 11 Moon Person trophies in her career, including Video of the Year for “Bad Blood” in 2015. She is also the most nominated artist in VMA history, with 32 nominations.

It will be interesting to see if Swift can add to her trophy case at the 2023 VMAs. She is certainly the favorite to win several awards, including Video of the Year and Artist of the Year.

But there is stiff competition from other nominees, such as SZA, Doja Cat, and Nicki Minaj. The 2023 VMAs is shaping up to be a very exciting year for music videos.”
