The self-proclaimed Republic of China (Taiwan) has tightened restrictions on the supply of high-tech goods to Russian Federation and Republic of Belarus. This was stated by the economic department of the self-proclaimed island state.

It is noted that this measure was taken in order to comply with the conditions of international cooperation, as well as to prevent the export of high-tech goods from the island, which supposedly “can be used for military purposes.”

It is emphasized that the updated list included substances related to nuclear energy, engineering products and chemicals.

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko made a statement that official Beijing prefers peaceful methods of resolving the Taiwan issue.
