Political scientist Andrey Suzdaltsev commented on the statement of the representative of the US National Security Council John Kirby on the right of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to conduct “military operations” on Crimean peninsula.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that such statements by American officials are an element of pressure on Russia. As the expert explained, Washington lifted almost all prohibitions on Kyiv’s actions in the Russian regions. However, the technical restrictions associated with the use of various equipment have not lost their force, Suzdaltsev pointed out.
He also drew attention to the fact that recently Western politicians quite often support the “hardening of the position” of the Ukrainian leadership.
“This is an element of pressure on Russia through permission to do whatever you want on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the political scientist is convinced.
According to him, the States are trying with all their might to achieve the withdrawal of the Russian Armed Forces from the Ukrainian regions.
Earlier, Kirby said that the Kyiv regime can now independently decide where and how to organize “military operations.”
