[SPORTS] Kechinov does not consider injured Tavares a big loss for Spartak
Former Spartak midfielder Valery Kechinov commented on the severe injury of the red-and-white footballer Tomas Tavares, Euro-Futbol.Ru reports.
“I don’t think it’s a big problem. There are players in the team who will painlessly replace Tavares. In recent matches, he came out in the starting lineup. But I can’t say that he was a leader in defense,” Kechinov said.
Tavares tore his cruciate ligament in his knee at the Portuguese Under-21 side. Tavares will miss the European Youth Championship, which starts on June 21. The Portuguese will play against Belgium, Georgia, and the Netherlands in the group stage.
The football player moved to Spartak from Lisbon Benfica during the winter break in the Russian Premier League (RPL). He spent 13 matches for the Red-whites.
Earlier, the press service of the Moscow “Spartak” confirmed the news that the player of the red and white Tomas Tavares tore the cruciate ligament of the knee.
