Premier Serbia Ana Brnabic commented on the words of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock about the unacceptability of Belgrade’s actions, stating an incredible degree of absurdity.
Recall that the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Burbock, called unacceptable the position according to which Serbia wants to send its forces to Kosovo.
Brnabić wrote: “Now, surprisingly, the German Foreign Office explicitly states that UNSCR 1244, which stipulates that Serbia has the right to request the return of a certain number of its security forces to Kosovo, should be ignored as it is ‘unacceptable’.”
As previously reported by the Public News Service, the National Security Council of Serbia calls on Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija not to join conflicts with members of the EU rule of law missions, as well as NATO KFOR representatives. This statement was made by the head of the republic Alexander Vučić.
The President convened the Security Council of the country on the evening of December 11, after the “head of the Cabinet” of the so-called Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, turned to the NATO KFOR contingent with a request to remove Kosovo Serb barricades from the roads in the north of the region. According to him, if the command of the North Atlantic bloc refuses, the Kosovo security forces are ready to start the operation on their own.
