The president Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will hold an emergency meeting of the National Security Council. The meeting was announced for 19:00 local time (21:00 Moscow time) on December 11. According to TASS, with reference to Serbian television, the reason for holding the meeting was the aggravation of the situation in the north of Kosovo.
According to reports, Vučić made this decision wishing to respond to the operation announced by the prime minister of the unrecognized Kosovo. During the operation announced by Albin Kurti, special units of the Kosovo police use all possible means to eliminate the barricades erected in the north of Kosovo.
Earlier, the Public News Service has already reported on the aggravation of the situation around Kosovo. So, it became known about the intention of Serbian President Vučić to send to NATO request for the introduction of a contingent of the country’s security forces into Kosovo. Vučić referred to Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council and announced the distribution of the Serbian army and police across the territories of Kosovo and Metohija.
