Any attempt by the North Korean leadership to use nuclear weapons will lead to the “fall of the regime.” This statement was made by the Ministry of Defense of South Korea after the words of the head of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, about increasing the nuclear arsenal “exponentially.”

“We seriously warn that if North Korea attempts to use nuclear weapons, this will lead to the fall of the Kim Jong-un regime,” the Yonhap news agency reports the content of the military department’s message.

The Ministry of Defense also accused Pyongyang of “readiness to start a war” and called for a return to the path of denuclearization, calling it the “only way” to improve the living conditions of the people of North Korea.

South Korea, the United States and Japan have previously condemned the latest launches of North Korean ballistic missiles. Seoul emphasized that Pyongyang’s actions would only lead to even greater isolation and destabilization of the situation in the region.
